This year, Father’s Day falls on the same day as World Refugee Day. Refugee fathers guide their children through the most difficult time of their lives, providing love and support as they leave everything behind to flee violence and economic hardship in search of a brighter future. I’m excited to invite you to join Peace Winds in honoring refugees and raising awareness of their plight around the world.

Observed on Sunday, June 20, World Refugee Day commemorates the resilience, courage, and strength of refugees and highlights the factors that contribute to millions of people being displaced all across the world. Every minute of every day, 20 people are forced to leave their homes because of violence, war, or persecution. Worldwide, a total of 79.5 million people (26 million of whom are refugees) have been displaced, more than at any point in human history.

We don’t have all the answers, but we do know that if we all work together, we can make a big difference in the lives of millions of people. Join me today in supporting Peace Winds and their work helping refugees rebuild their lives.
